This actually happened: We started to love winter sports. You would have never thought that, right? Honestly, we neither. We really enjoyed our last two stays at M\u00fchlbach and Hinterstoder, so we wished to go skiing for at least one more time this season. We chose Zell am See because we visited our dear friend, Katharina, who is living there with her husband Luis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 1: Skiing at Zell am See<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are numerous ski areas around Zell am See. We went for Schmitten \u2013 Zell am See<\/a>. Unfortunately, we weren\u2019t lucky with the weather, but the views<\/strong> were nevertheless gorgeous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 2: Skiing at Kitzsteinhorn<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Skiing on the <\/strong>glacier<\/a> \u2013 we\u2019re in! Weeks before, we already knew that we definitely want to go there. Unfortunately, the weather was bad as well, that\u2019s why we weren\u2019t able to enjoy the scenic views from 3029 meters above sea level. However, we enjoyed skiing there a lot and we will definitely come back!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 3: Toboggan at Bramberg<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Finally, here it is: the long-awaited panoramic view.<\/strong> That\u2019s what we call a compensation for the last two days. We took the gondola lift up to the top of the mountain. One of the world\u2019s longest toboggan runs starts here. 14 kilometers<\/strong> long and with breathtaking views \u2013 highly recommended! There is a nice hut after the first half called \u201cZwischenzeit\u201d. The rent for one toboggan and a ticket for one ride with the gondola lift are 19 Euro per person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some more tips<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ginhouse<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You definitely need to come here<\/a> to enjoy a delicious Gin Tonic. The bar is located in the center of Zell am See and offers around 500 different sorts of Gin. Ask for Katharina and Luis, our two lovely friends who are working there. Go for the Smokey Old Fashioned if you like it smokey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steinerwirt<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We really enjoyed our dinner at Steinerwirt<\/a>. The restaurant is located opposite of the Ginhouse. A bit pricey but definitely worth it. Don\u2019t forget to book a table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brasserie Traube<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately, the restaurant<\/a> was fully booked so we weren\u2019t able to eat there. Anyway, we heard that the restaurant serves lovely food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
